We all desire to live and work in an environment where the air is composed of only what nature intended. This is not always the case.
Environmental Requirements
There are many discharges of contaminants into the natural environment, through emissions to land, air, and water. The Provincial and Federal governments are responsible for regulating the discharge of pollutants, and have legislated limits for many contaminants. You are required by law to obtain a permit to discharge any contaminant that may produce any adverse affect to the natural environment.
Health and Safety Requirements
The Occupational Health and Safety Act prescribes acceptable levels of worker exposure in regards to substances within the workplace. Worker exposure to harmful substances may produce adverse health effects, loss of productivity, work refusals, and Ministry of Labour Orders.
There are many potential sources of harmful substances within the workplace environment, and Oakhill’s qualified staff have years of experience successfully assisting industries in “Bridging the Gap to Compliance” with regulatory obligations. Oakhill offers peace of mind and provides due diligence for all of its clients. We have worked with a large array of clients spanning numerous sectors, who continually seek further guidance and assistance from Oakhill.
